or rather, WHAT EXACTLY IS A 'DATE' ANYWAY?
When two people of the opposite sex go out and it's their first? When two people of the same sexual orientation go out for the first time? What exactly counts as a first date?
Even if both of them had even a tiny amount of like for each other, does that count?
Ah and here is where the tricky part comes in - WHO PAYS FOR THE MEAL?
Personally, my view is that both of them should go Dutch, even if the guy decides to pay for the girl. Why? Because I don't want to feel like I have owed the guy anything.
I have no idea how do guys view this anyway.
But from what I've gathered, guys don't mind paying for a girl they fancy. But how does the girl know that the guy fancies her wtf.
And that both of them should go Dutch until they are officially together. I think it's really stupid to let a guy pay for all your shit if you two aren't together. It only makes you seem like you're going out with him just to sponge off him wtf.
But once two people are together, I think it is alright to let the guy pay for most of your shit like movie tickets or meals or whatever if he doesn't mind and if he isn't a cheapskate wtf.
Also, it ups the image for guys when they pay for the date. BUT ALL THESE ONLY APPLY ONLY AFTER TWO PEOPLE ARE OFFICIALLY TGT OK I REITERATE THIS.
Going back to the topic of paying for the first date or even first few dates, I guess both parties should pay for their own stuff because... Is it even a date date? (If you understand what I'm sayin'... Which is highly uh not possible because even idk how to convey this wtf)
But I guess when a girl tries to pay for her portion even after the guy wants to pay, it hurts the guy's ego huh.
Like "damn you dumb bitch I want to look good in front of you and pay for your shit just let me do it"
While the girl is like "bitch let's split this way down to the middle I don't care"
Ok fine the girl is obviously me wtf
Even if one day someone tells me guys don't like it when girls want the bill split equally, I still won't budge on my perspective because I really really really hate owing people things, especially when it comes to money.
So to me, money is money and it should be handled equally and fairly. I don't see how it changes relationships.
I guess the only time I have ever let anyone treat me to something is last year nov/dec. I think I went out with Josiah and he brought me to Marche LOL and said that it's my bday dinner. Well I let him treat me because
a) wellllll it's my bday dinner hahaha
b) we are just friends and I guess I'm more chill about money around friends. But if we aren't close then NO
Hmm yea that's the only time ever.
Ok this post is quite pointless
I think I'm gonna ask everyone's view about this next week
